Dear Humans <3
I have an upcoming 33rd Birthday. This year I've decided to celebrate by creating a fundraising campaign that will benefit Holocaust Survivors who already went to hell and beyond, and in their last years of life they deserve to live with dignity!
Imagine the situation - the house is crumbling, the walls are peeling, you are alone in the world, and have to choose between medicines and basic food. There are around 200,000 Holocaust survivors left in Israel - from which over 25% live under the poverty line. This means they don't have food, live in poor health conditions and are lonely, experiencing feelings of despair and helplessness. More than 1,000 Holocaust survivors die each month, and according to different studies, we have around 5-10 years to have them around (given their age). And it is our duty to help them and make them feel we have their backs!
Whether you are my close friend, family, or never heard of me at all, I would highly appreciate it you could make a donation, any amount counts no matter how small! As a birthday gift !
I have partnered with Latet Org - which was established in order to reduce poverty, for a better and just society, by providing assistance to needy populations, mobilizing Israeli civil society towards mutual responsibility, and leading change in the national priorities. This org is Non-governmental, non-political, non-partisan, non-profit
and every single dime that is raised from this campaign will go to Holocaust survivors.
The program provides a holistic, respectful and immediate assistance package for Holocaust survivors that touches all areas of life, with a special emphasis on adapting and making assistance accessible to the survivor's home . They are currently helping around 1,200 survivors, on a monthly basis providing them with food, home arrangements, and medical assistance. You can read more about their program here.
Thank you in advance for your donations, wishing you a healthy, and prosper new year! Shana tova and much love,
Sharon Schwartz :)
