Our dear Mor 💔
She was born on the third of Tevet, 5.12.1994 in the "Soruka" hospital, Daughter of Roni and Ayala, only sister of Sapir. Raised in the city of Sderot, educated at Shaar HaNegev High School. She served in the army as a Rookie class commander in Camp 80.
Mor joined the Israel Police 6 years ago and worked as a patrolwoman. That's where she met her fiance, David Pokal, whom she will be marrying soon.
On the morning of Simchat Torah, she was nearing the end of her night shift at the Sderot police station, and asked to switch with another police officer in order to sit in the station log instead of dispersing the vehicle, since she shomer Shabbos and the holiday. A short time later, she encountered evil terrorists and from that moment she found herself fighting against them. She immediately ran to the roof together with other police officers , Where they fought them bravely until the moment when she was shot by a sniper and killed on spot.
Mor fought with strength and bravery for about 5 hours on the roof of the additional station, taking care of everyone and saving human lives. She managed to say “Shema Yisrael” and "Shir Lama'alot" and gave up her soul a few minutes later.
It was a privilege getting to know her. She was loved by everyone! She brought light and joy to life wherever she walked. Her rolling laugh and wide smile are etched in memory. Derech Eretz always stood before her eyes, honoring father and mother, giving to others and reciprocating kindness. A song she particularly liked was "Good thoughts" by Motty Weiss. The song gave her soul satisfaction and positive thinking.
Mor dedicated her life for us, and therefore we would like to give her the respect she deserves for that.
