My name is Moran. I’m 33 years old. Since I was a baby, I was always the family “teddy bear”, full of love and generosity. When I was 13, doctors discovered a growth in my ovary that the doctors told me was rare in a girl my age. I had to undergo emergency surgery to remove it followed by chemotherapy. That year was nearly unbearable, full of both physical and psychological pain.

For the last 10 years or so, I worked in pediatric rehabilitation for at risk youth and the mentally ill.

To my horror, about two months ago I was again diagnosed with cancer, this time breast cancer. The doctors told me that my options were surgery, complete mastectomy, chemotherapy, or radiation.

I left no stone upturned in trying to save my life. I soon realized that I need to combine surgery with additional, non-conventional treatments at a hospital overseas that had succeeding in treating cases like mine. In order to get there as soon as possible for treatment, I have to raise the money needed for the treatment before the cancer progresses too far.

I’m only 33. I can only hope that after having helped so many people during my life, this time – somebody will help me.
