The home of Michal, Raviv and Liki Marom, from Kibbutz Re'im, which is near the Gaza border, was attacked and burned by Hamas terrorists while they were in the bomb shelter.
Miraculously, they escaped with their lives. As the house went up in flames and the smoke thickened, penetrating through the shelter's door, they realized they needed to flee. The only way out was through the escape window.
With great effort, they managed to evacuate their daughter and their son-in-law, both of them disabled, as well as two Indian caregivers, whom we see in the video.
Somehow, they reached a neighbor's house whose door was broken in by the Hamas terrorists and joined them in their bomb shelter. The terrorists, in large numbers, ravaged their house and its surroundings all those long hours, and even watched and "waited for them" on the balcony. But luckily, when they decided to escape through the window, the terrorists were gone as the smoke from the fire they lighted was too thick.
Michal and her family were rescued only 24 hours later. They are severely traumatized.
Michal has a disabled daughter (who is a quadriplegic), 28 years old (from a severe car accident 4 years ago), as well as her eldest daughter, her husband (who is in a wheelchair), and their sweet grandson.
They survived, but they are left with nothing! Even the wheelchair of their disabled daughter was burned, as well as the special van that was custom-fitted to carry their disabled family members - an entire home was lost.
