"We came to bring joy to the fighters. As part of the events on October 7, 2023, there was a need for donations for the establishment of a volunteer system to recruit equipment and food for the combatants on the front line. With the continuation of the fighting, the IDF began a refreshment cycle for the fighters, and here we come into the picture. We saw it fitting that our soldiers need not just a short break but an activity that would allow them to disconnect for a few hours and bring back a smile to their faces.
In coordination with the IDF, we arrive at refreshment points at various bases in the country and gathering areas in the north and south, providing a small moment of relaxation with comforting food and good music.
Event rundown:
First serving of Israeli grilled meat (burgers), kebabs, entrecotes, salads, and soft drinks.
Second serving of smoked lamb and special smoked poultry for about 3 hours. Throughout the event, accompanied by a bouzouki player and a DJ who lift the spirits of our combatants and give them a sense of freedom.
Additionally, we distribute clothing and cigarettes according to the needs of the various units, always coordinating with the IDF, whether it's thermal shirts, underwear, and more, as per the requirements we receive from the different units.
Our activity continues from the beginning of the conflict until its end. We continue to operate in the coming months about 4 times a month. Each such activity costs 50,000 ₪ per month. The cost per soldier is about 50 ₪, and an event accommodates around 250 soldiers.
