Maybe you haven't heard of IsraAID, but it is an outstanding organization made up of Israeli volunteers- experts in disaster relief who you may recognize from their work in Haiti, Africa, Mexico, Houston, New Orleans, Vanuatu. They are basically among the first responders in just about every natural disaster in recent history.
I was so inspired by the work they do with limited resources. They simply make smart use of Israeli innovation, technology and determination to help those who need it most. They literally define the directive to do unto others as you would have done unto you.
So I've decided to forgo my bat mitzvah party and bat mitzvah gifts for this worthy cause. This year I will be joining IsraAID in an to attempt to make a major impact-- and I'd be honored if you would be part of making this impact together with me.
Together, we have formulated a plan that will provide three isolated communities in Nepal with clean water and sanitation, which won't only improve the lives of countless families, but will allow students my age, particularly girls, to attend to school again. The more we raise, the more people will be aided in their time of need.
I hope you'll join me in doing good around the world while spreading the TRUE FACE of Israel to those who may not know it.
