For my Bat mitzvah project I am raising funds for Leket Israel, Israel's National Food Bank and premier food rescue organization.
Leket collects and rescues 40 million pounds of healthy, surplus food annually that would have gone to waste, and distributes it to those in need. I had planned to volunteer picking fruits and vegetables with my family in Israel over Pesach vacation but was unable to do so due to Covid-19. This health crisis has only magnified the importance of feeding the hungry.
With your help, Leket can continue to provide for those without access to nutritious meals.
