Hello, we are Aviv and Khader.
Khader, 35, works at the Spokesperson of the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality office, and Aviv, 38, is a Creative Director in a production company.
We’ve been together for seven years and as time has passed, our relationship has strengthened to the point that we realized we are more than ready to expand two into three and start a family. It doesn’t matter where you live or who you are, if you’ve managed to find that person who makes you want to start a family then you’ve won at life.
As such, we’ve started the surrogacy process in the United States to fulfill our dream of creating a little family here in Israel. However, we are a young couple, and our economic reality does not allow us to do this alone. That is why we are turning to you.
A little about surrogacy in America:
Of all the few countries in the world that allow surrogacy for same-sex couples, the United States is the leader in the field. It is true that recently Israel approved the process for same-sex couples, but we decided not to pursue this path because we started the process in May 2021 before the Supreme court made the government allow same-sex surrogacy in Israel. and also, the system is yet to be adequately organized, and the waitlist is excruciatingly long. As An Arab-Jewish couple, we can not get a surrogate in Israel since the law requires the surrogate to be of the same religion as the intended parents.
Why fundraising
The surrogacy process in the US costs approximately 650,000NIS. That’s roughly $165,000. We have taken loans and received support from our families in order to realize our big dream of bringing a child into the world, but the amount we’ve managed to raise isn’t enough. Therefore, we are asking for your help: friends, family, and any good souls on the way.
In the current circumstances, it might sound a little bizarre that a Jewish and Arab gay couple want to start a family, but it’s precisely because of what is going on that we feel a need to build a new model of love and values. To build a family whose primary religion is love and mutual respect. We are desperate to build a home together, to nurture inside it a generation that understands that love has no boundaries.
It isn’t easy to ask for money from people, that\\\\'s why we have established a campaign for the dream of starting a family.
With your support, we’ll be able to realize that dream of being the most loving, crazy, and warm parents! We’ll teach our child about the best side of humanity and all the incredible people who helped us bring them into the world.
