“Homiya” is a memorial musical album that tells the story of eight women who have had their lives torn apart,
On the seventh of October they lost the most precious of all,
their partner, father of their children.

Yasmin Margolis became a young widow on that horrific day of October 7 when her husband, Sa’ar Margolis was murdered by Hamas while defending Kibbutz
Kissufim. Yasmin’s story so touched Singer/Songwriter, Natalie Geva of Kibbutz Ga’ash that she composed a beautiful, heartfelt song to commemorate this tragic event.
Seven additional women, all widowed that day, embraced the opportunity to commemorate their late husbands in songs that would exist for their families and for the country forever. As each of their stories is unique, each has been distributed to different singer/songwriters and will ultimately compiled into a single album. However, because each couple has its own story to tell, each song will be treated separately and will be suited to the narrative and musical style of the couple for whom the song was written.
It is our privilege and responsibility to fulfill the wish of these eight
widows to have the stories of the loss of their husbands become a part of history through the release of a beautiful, musical album entitled, “The Soul Yearns”.
Our goal is to raise 120,000 Israeli shekels ($32,000) in time for the expected release of the album on the seventh of October 2024
