On October 7 2023, our world changed. The vicious terrorist group, Hamas, caught the innocent civilians of Israel living close to Gaza helpless.

The loss is unimaginable, and the unity that was formed between all Israelis & Jewish people and communities from all over the world that came together to help the survivors, soldiers and the displaced families, is remarkable. Together, we have created a lifeline of compassion and strength, standing side by side with those who need it most.

In November 2023, Glow Glamping established a therapeutic glamping village in Kfar Maccabiah, in collaboration with "Maccabi World Movement".

The complex founded and donated by Glow Glamping with the assistance of the Chicago Federation enables the existence of the "Balance IL- A Place to Breathe" project, a product in collaboration with the NGO "Brothers in Yoga".

Balance IL” is a national mental health project for the survivors of the parties on October 7, the Israel Defense Forces teams that left the combat zones after the war and evacuated families.

"Brothers in Yoga" helps those coping with PTSD to find balance and get tools for a healthy lifestyle.

The association is operated by trauma-sensitive yoga teachers together with clinical therapists.

The therapeutic activity in the village is managed by 30 conventional therapists, psychotherapist, alternatives and about 80 volunteers every day.

 The process includes:

* A 3 day opening retreat - experience yoga as a way of life that combines sensitive and adapted physical practice, proper breathing, relaxation, nutrition, meditation, music and singing, dialogue and sharing circles for joint and personal processing, accompaniment and support with a therapeutic team available at all times.

* 3 weekly meetings on Zoom - an opportunity to assimilate the tools for daily life independently, to maintain group contact and healing communication, to become stronger through the power of community and continuity.

* 1 day Concluding retreat - the possibility of a healthy and healing closure meeting for a group process, gives a place to delve deeper into the practice itself, and leave with practical tools for the rest of the way.

Brothers in Yoga dedicates its activities to the survivors of the party in memory of Ben Uri who was murdered on October 7 at the Nova festival.

The project has many values but the main one is the knowledge that we all have the ability to stop, take a breath and one day recreate the routine we had. Its purpose is to provide coping tools to the patient so he will be able to continue taking care of himself even when he has finished the program.

To achieve this, we need your help:

Your generous, tax-deductible donation can make an immediate and significant impact. Each group requires funding of approximately NIS 70,000 for a full 4-month process. Participant funding is about NIS 5,000 in total. A month of activity costs about NIS 400,000.

The number of participants increases every day and we are in difficulties to continue the activity.

Approximately 160 soldiers and families participate in the project per month and we are optimizing the way of activity so that we can provide an extensive response at the same time. Accordingly, our goal is to reach another 2,000 participants in our program during 2024.

The funds raised will go towards different expenses associated with creating and maintaining this kind of place - various therapists, housekeeping and employment of an Israeli team to maintain the different activities and more.

Thanks to your support for our activities during this time - we were able to open the door to many more who asked.
