Summary
Moshav Yesha is an agricultural community located in the Eshkol Regional Council and is defined as part of the "Gaza Envelope" region, approximately 4-5 km from the Gaza Strip border. The community has suffered greatly during the days of the Iron Sword War, and we are requesting donations for the purpose of rehabilitating agriculture, the community, and improving existing security measures in our community.

Please help
On the morning of October 7, 2023, approximately 150 terrorists on motorcycles and tractors infiltrated the area from Gaza Strip towards our communities and security checkpoints. Prepared security units from Yesha went towards the terrorists, and with the help of armed civilians, they prevented the terrorists from entering the area. Members of the prepared security units were killed in intense battles, including Gil Avital, Lior Ben Ya'akov, Itay Nachmias, Tal Maman, and Dan Asulin. The terrorists, during their retreat, killed workers in the packing houses and kidnapped others. Thanks to the prepared security units and armed civilians, mass casualties and further abductions of residents in the area were prevented.
During the terror attack, three of our moshav's young members, Shahar Kadman, and the brothers Yuval Rabia and Noam Rabia were tragically killed in the Nova Music Festival.

Following the military's directive, our entire community was evacuated, with residents leaving with only minimal clothing and essential supplies. There is currently no anticipated timeline for their return, and rebuilding our community of Moshav Yesha is going to require an extraordinary and challenging effort.

Due to the difficult security situation, foreign workers and Israeli employees are currently unable to reach our agriculture fildes and farms. Daily rocket and mortar fire, on a regular and daily basis, prevents the farmers from working their fields.

Although the process is expected to be lengthy, we maintain our faith in our community's resilience and social strength to eventually bounce back. We trust in the spirit of mutual support that defines our nation, which will ultimately enable us to take pride in our beloved Moshav Yesha once more. Please help us restore our beloved and amaizing community!

Few words about our community - Moshav Yesha

Moshav Yesha was established in 1957 and currently consists of about 130 families, including approximately 20 that are engaged in agriculture. Today, our moshav is inhabited by the second and third generations of the founders, in addition to families who have joined over the years through expansions. Our moshav represents all the positive values of our country: Zionism, love for the land, land cultivation and safeguarding its borders, community spirit, and mutual assistance. Life within our moshav is characterized by a strong sense of community.

In the agricultural fields of our moshav, we grow, harvest, and market seasonal vegetables, fruits, and flowers, both for the local market and for export. The moshav's farmers are considered leaders in the country. Numerous other local businesses in the moshav provide livelihoods for its residents.

We are currently in the late autumn season, marked by the completion of soil preparation, planting, and sowing in preparation for the winter. It's evident that most of the investments for the upcoming season have already been made by the farmers. These investments amount to hundreds of thousands of shekels per agricultural unit.

Your donations will help us support our community by providing the following:

  1. A complete fence around the moshav with reinforced foundations, durability, and lighting.
  2. Smart analytical cameras around the fence, as well as thermal cameras for night vision.
  3. Electric gates at agricultural crossings.
  4. Establishment of a fortified community building.
