After a two month hiatus due to COVID-19, the Great Synagouge is opening once again.
As the Synagogue does not receive funding from either the national or local government, we must solely rely on private donations to continue to function. Over the past few months, due to COVID-19, the donations have dried up.
This year, it is highly doubtful whether we can continue operating the air conditioners this summer, due to our current financial situation. The electricity bill alone for the entire course of the summer runs in the range of 60,000 NIS (17,000 USD) per year.
We call on the public in Tel Aviv and beyond, to make any size donation they can to help the synagogue during this difficult time.
Thank you,
Yosef Rabin
