Everesting for freedom !
Climbing 8,848 meters - the height of Mount Everest for the freedom to choose !.
On the 30 th of November, 18 th Friday, from early morning until evening, I will carry out the Everest challenge. I will climb with the help of a road bike. One climb up the Jerusalem hills dozens of times, until I reach Mount Everest accumulative altitude. This is a physical achievement. Which exists in the world of sports in general and riding in particular.
My partner and many of my close friends were assisted by the organization throughout their lives, and they received and receive a support envelope from Amuta that is like a family.
We all have the right and the freedom to choose the life we want to live - in the difficult moments I will have in the challenge of Everest I will remember this thought and it will strengthen me and help me not give up and meet the challenge.
What is Hillel?
Hillel - The Association for Departing a Question - is a registered non-profit organization with no political affiliation or political interest. It helps people in Israel who wish to leave the haredi world and integrate into modern and pluralistic Israel.
Since its founding in 1991, the organization has helped hundreds of young people join the general society in Israel.
Hillel is one of the few organizations that offers assistance to those who leave for a question in Israel.
Most of the organization's work is done by a group of volunteers that includes more than 250 members: students, psychologists, lawyers, teachers, accountants, housewives, social workers, media people, kibbutz members, public relations people, organizational consultants and many others.
Who does HELEL support?
Hillel helps young men and women from all over the ultra-Orthodox world: the Sephardic, the Lithuanian and Hasidic.
She championed the principle: Every person has the right to choose his own way of thinking, his faith and his way of life.
It helps only those who turn to it of their own accord. Hillel does not try to convince people to change their faith or way of life.
In its first contact with applicants, Hillel stresses the difficulties they face in their new world as well as the possibilities that are open to them.
