For us, water is trivial.
We do not recognize a different situation, a reality in which there is a real lack of something that is so basic. When we feel thirsty, the water source is available to us at any time, without any additional thinking or effort. In Tanzania, however, the story is completely different.
Engineers Without Borders is an organization that is operated entirely by volunteers who are also students, with huge motivation to create an impact in the world.

We at the Tel Aviv branch believe that real and sustainable change is made possible by working together with the community rather than with it and without its involvement. Therefore, we are working to raise awareness of the importance of drinking clean water and the participation of residents in building and maintaining the systems. We developed a system consisting of local products and located in the central high school in the district, striving to replicate it throughout the region. In addition, we have established a solar installation at the regional clinic, which provides a response to thousands of residents of the district.
How do you get into the picture?
We are currently working on implementing systems in key places in the villages, which will provide water to tens of thousands of residents. This is combined with an educational framework and the establishment of a local leadership team, composed of students, who will guide the process and lead it from the side of the community.
In order to succeed in establishing the vision - we need you.
So what do you say, help us reach our destination?
Thanks,
EWB Team & Babati District
