"Elisha's Project" is our family’s challenging undertaking to create an animated video scene together with our 16 year old son Elisha, a creator and an artist. Elisha has been diagnosed with middle functioning autism. He is a precious and special child with great talent, resourcefulness and creativity.

Recently, he discovered a unique talent for creating classic-style animated videos. His dream is to create full-length
animated videos. We gathered together all our photos and videos. and decided to embark on a joint venture with
Elisha and create his dream video, hoping that his preoccupation with this project, so dear to his heart, would
advance his development, and his ability to communicate.

And the project took off...

We sent the video to family, friends and Elisha's teachers and received encouraging and supportive responses from all, as well as from strangers. Educators and artists were also touched by Elisha's video and felt that his works were
full of life and grace.

The most wonderful aspect of this project is that since we began to implement this project, Elisha has really begun
to develop! He has made amazing progress in his communication skills. With each passing day, we discovered more 

and more of Elisha’s talent and hoped that his communication skills would constantly improve. Thank G-d!

We received a recommendation to send the video to Yoni Salmon, a professional animator and acknowledged
teacher in this field () . We asked his opinion of the video and as to how to further progress with this project .
Yoni saw the video once, and immediately told us he would love to meet with Elisha and help him develop some animation skills. He was very impressed by Elisha's talent and ability and suggested we try to create a short animation segment of a few seconds, professionally called “proof of concept”. This video would prove Elisha's ability and serious intentions rather than just being his hobby.

Thank G-d, we were able to create the video, becoming a resourceful, creative and productive team.

While working together, we recognized that Elisha has great visualization skills. It was very difficult for all of us to settle for such a small part of what he really wanted. Yet we succeeded, with lots of love and understanding, compromising to reach the end result. 

All this was made possible thanks to the special bond that Elisha has with his older brother, Moshe. Moshe was our “mediator” enabling us to connect with Elisha. We became aware of Elisha's inner and rich world. He notices subtleties and details that are missed by the ordinary eye, knowing exactly what he wants. fter Yoni viewed the "proof of concept" video, he challenged us to try and create an entire scene from the video. 

To create a short 30 second scene, we must raise 20,000 shekels.

If we reach 30,000 NIS, we can create a 60 second scene.

If we reach 40,000 or more, we can upgrade Elisha's animation with a soundtrack and special effects.

Our main goal is to help our dear Elisha continue and develop his talents and abilities.
