Docaviv, the NPO for the Promotion of Documentary Cinema, is a non-profit organization, and much of its funding comes from donations.
We will be delighted if you choose to join our community of partners.
Your donation will help us continue on our mission to organize and hold festivals in Tel Aviv, Ma'alot Tarshiha, and Yeruham, provide a platform for documentary filmmakers, and engage in outreach programs for at-risk youth across the country.
Israeli society has never faced times as difficult as these. We are all in pain, and we are all committed to doing our part.
Now, more than ever, our community has shown itself to be resilient and determined.
Here at Docaviv, as a cultural institution with a strong commitment to the Israeli audience, we choose to keep going without a moment’s pause.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of Docaviv Galilee-Ma'alot Tarshiha Festival! Our hearts go out to our friends in northern Israel. Unfortunately, the current situation means we are unable to hold an in-person festival as we do each year.
As a tribute to Docaviv Galilee, we will offer a special online program: Viewers will be able to watch a selection of films by Galilee filmmakers alongside the other films available to stream on our website.
We are dedicated to continuing our work and introducing our audience to brilliant local and international filmmakers.
Our special online program will include premieres, Docaviv 2023 favorites, and a tribute to the School of Audio & Visual Arts at Sapir College in Sderot, in collaboration with Cinema South Festival.
Our program will also feature emotional and heartwarming films from Project Knafayim, filmed over the years in collaboration with the communities of Ma'alot Tarshiha and the surrounding area.
In addition, we will hold industry events for filmmakers and an in-person screening for children from the Gaza Envelope who are currently staying in central Israel.
We are proud and glad to be able to offer this rich and comforting selection of top-notch films, even in times like these.
As friends and supporters of Docaviv, you can help keep the festival going by donating any amount you can spare.
Your donation will help us make the festival happen.
