Beit Natan programs provide support to cancer patients and
their families as they deal with the physical and emotional challenges of the
disease. Beit Natan programs include Support Groups, Retreats for Recovery for
Women, Couples Retreats, Telephone Helplines, Caregiver Training and Support,
Home Hospice Volunteers, Support Groups for Teens Who Have Lost a Parent, and
Careers After Cancer. Our clientele comes to us from throughout Israel, and many
of our programs have waiting lists.
Beit Natan Therapeutic Retreats for Couples are designed to
provide couples in which one spouse has been diagnosed with cancer with an
opportunity to participate in a three-day vacation that will promote recovery
and improve their quality of life. The
programs, seminars and activities of the retreat offer a temporary refuge from
the stresses of everyday life, enabling participants to recharge their
emotional and physical energy, strengthen the marital relationship, and
hopefully develop a new sense of self-awareness and a positive outlook for the
future while enjoying entertainment, excellent food, and peaceful, pastoral
surroundings. There is also ample time to relax and to meet others dealing with
similar circumstances. Participants agree that the Couples Retreat is
energizing and enables them to better cope with the struggle ahead. There is a waiting list of couples hoping to
participate in the Couples Retreat. With your help, Beit Natan will be able to
offer the Retreat to more couples dealing with cancer.
