Project Warm Homes was established in light of a tragic event that took place about a decade ago. A young Ahava graduate had just finished his army service and then took his own life.

This was all on the account that he had NO WHERE to go, no place to call a home, no family members to reach out to. Before his final breath of life, he writes a good bye letter explaining that Ahava has been his home but now that he has aged out of their system, he has NO home.

This has been the sad reality for many children who enter Ahava. They are greeted with lots of care and support from the age of 6 but are then faced with the fear of not having anyone to turn to once they age out at 18.

Due to the very tragic event, Ahava's CEO, has made it his mission to try and prevent any further tragedies to these helpless young men and women.

The mission being to establish 4 homes with the capacity to house thirty young adults. These young men and women would not only be Ahava's graduates but would also come from other organizations that cross the same difficulties of their children aging out with no where to go.

The apartments would provide independent living but supportive living in conjunction with them starting their adulthood years in the IDF, educational or work careers.

There will be staff and a social worker that would live close to the apartments in which would guide these young adults in whatever area they are struggling with but most of all would give them the warmth that every young adult needs to know that there is someone who still cares!
