In the past two months, the Hotline for Refugees and Migrants has been working tirelessly to ensure the rights of those who have been harmed as Israelis, but do not receive the protection and rights of Israeli citizens:
Foreign students who were kidnapped and whose worried families await them on the other side of the world.
Status-less survivors of the massacre who discover that the doors of the National Insurance Institute are closed to them.
Families of the work migrants, who worked in the Gaza Envelope as caregivers and who were massacred as Israelis, alongside their elderly patients.
These are not 'foreign workers'; they are our neighbors. Hamas terrorists did not check visas. They did not distinguish between Israelis from birth and those who immigrated. Their fate is tied to ours.
We seek your help so that no one is left behind. Together we will amplify the cries of the families of Bipin Joshi from Nepal and Joshua Loitu Mollel from Tanzania, whose children are still held captive by Hamas. Together we will ensure that Sujith from Sri Lanka, who was injured but survived the attack on the beach at Zikim, is recognized as a Victim of Hostile Actions, despite his lack of status in Israel. Together we will fight so that the families of all the caregivers who were brutally murdered receive their rights and compensation; so that every survivor, without exception, receives the rights owed to them.
