The Newest Reserve Unit in the Army
After the events of October 7th, a new generation of reservists stepped forward. Among them is Unit 1873 – The Grupit Battalion, part of the Jonathan Brigade under the Gilad Division — a battalion of 600 experienced and dedicated soldiers from the Commando, Paratroopers, Golani, Nahal, and Givati brigades many of whom are volunteers of all ages from 30-58, who have returned to serve long after their mandatory duty ended.
In August, the unit begins a 44-day deployment in Judea and Samaria, following over 40 days of reserve duty already completed this year. We are committed. We are prepared. But we need your help to be fully equipped.
🎯 Our Goal: Equip Every Soldier – Head to Toe
We are raising ₪1,500,000 (approx. $444,000) to ensure each of our 600 soldiers is equipped with essential gear, including:

Tactical uniforms (fire resistant)

Tactical boots

Personal logistical equipment (such as goggles, advanced weapons slings etc)
This is gear that protects lives and enables mission readiness, not covered by standard army supply due to the unique structure of our unit.
Unlike many reservists, our soldiers keep their gear and their weapons at home so they can respond instantly to emergencies. We don’t have the luxury of waiting. We have to be ready now.
