1️⃣3️⃣ months into the war, our commitment to providing home-cooked meals to our soldiers remains strong. To date, we've supplied over 83,000 meals and our volunteers continue to serve with dedication. Now, we need your help to continue to support our heroes! 🙏🙏🙏

The "Cooking with Love for Soldiers - Zichron Yaakov and Maayan Tzvi" initiative, launched in October 2023, now includes over 200 volunteers from all walks of life - secular, religious, seniors, youth, women, men, and children - all of us working together on an entirely volunteer basis.

Our process is simple: We established a community store (Markolit) stocked with supplies for our volunteer cooks. These supplies are donated or purchased with donated funds. The volunteers prepare homemade dishes in their own kitchens, seasoning their dishes with our unique "Ras al Markolit" ("Markolit House blend”) – infusing gratitude and love into each dish prepared ❤. Children add personal greetings and notes of thanks to accompany the meals. The freshly cooked food is packed at the Markolit and delivered by volunteers to various military units, accommodating special dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets.

We serve up to 2,000 soldiers weekly, reaching combat units from Givati, Golani, Nahal, Paratroopers, and Air Force, Rescue & Recovery, Artillery, and Armored units, on all fronts, North, South, and in between.
As long as our reservists remain on duty, we'll continue to provide them with a taste of home 🏡 .
