Since October 7th, Israel is at War and civilians are paying the price. At least 46,000 Israelis depend on the electricity found in their homes to power life sustaining medical equipment such as oxygen generators. War related blackouts will put these patients at risk. Hospitals will struggle with an inflow of these patients, so a solution is needed to allow these patients to stay at home and have an alternative source of power during blackouts and electricity shortages. The goal of this campaign is to raise funds to purchase portable power stations and generators that will be delivered to these patients via a network of volunteers. This solution will sustain these patients during blackouts until electricity is restored or they can be moved to a safe location with a reliable power supply. After the war, the equipment will be used for future emergencies. The campain is organized by Dr. Michael Gofman, a senior lecturer of finance at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
