For my Bar Mitzvah Project I am raising money for the Magi Foundation (www.dreamdoctors.org.il), providing Medical Clowns in Israel. As part of my project I ran 2.5km in the Merutz Modiin Race

About the Campaign

This time last year my Mummy met a clown called Amnon aka Professor Doctor Zay Gezunt. He appeared suddenly in the Oncology Ward at Sheba Medical Centre carrying a guitar, dressed in a skirt, & wearing a sunflower on his head. (See pictures and video) Amnon proceeded to move around the ward from patient to patient, making them smile through songs, joke telling and general silliness (such as stealing the nurse’s trolley and shouting "Duty Free, Duty Free"). Through the next seven months he helped keep my parents sane as they dealt with long chemotherapy treatment. Sane is good. I want to thank him for that by raising money.
 
The Magi Foundation seeks to advance the welfare of hospitalized children and adults and contribute to the Israeli medical system especially by operating the Dream Doctors Project- medical clowning in action.
 
The unique Dream Doctors project integrates professional medical clowning into the medical services provided at Israeli hospitals. Established in 2002, the Dream Doctors Project is now operating at 20 hospitals throughout the country, with 70 medical clowns working in various pediatric wards and clinics.
