Nava Tehila is an egalitarian community in Jerusalem where people are unconditionally accepted as they are, whatever their life choices or Jewish observance level.  We strive to create an authentic Jewish alternative for those who do not find their place in the exiting establishments. Nava Tehila functions as an R&D lab that experiments with new ideas for enlivening prayer and Jewish ritual.

Nava Tehila activists generate new prayer modalities, compose new music for prayer and offer study opportunities that are infused with renewed spirit. 

Nava Tehila is active in the field of Jewish Peoplehood by live streaming our Musical Kabbalat Shabbat to friends all over the world and by embracing future leaders, rabbinic and cantorial students, in their one year stay in Jerusalem and training them in the new methods that have been developed in the community. Pre Covid 19 Nava Tehila leaders used to travel to communities in the US and Europe to share those of the ideas that proved successful in drawing in non-affiliated Jews while speaking at the same time to the long term members of these communities.
