A severe humanitarian crisis is unfolding in the Gaza Strip, which includes starvation, under the responsibility of the Israeli government. Food is scarce, as is drinking water; much of the civilian infrastructure and hospitals have been damaged, and access to medicine is almost nonexistent.
This horror primarily affects innocent civilians in Gaza; it also affects the Israeli hostages held in the strip; and ultimately, it harms our society, which is losing its humanity.
Two months ago, we managed to prevent settlers' efforts to block aid passage to Gaza, which was a continuation of the government's policy. We established the Humanitarian Guard and blocked the settlers on the ground. This was an important success, and thanks to it, dozens of aid trucks enter Gaza every day. But it's not enough.
Now, as part of our struggle against the starvation policy in Gaza, we have launched a campaign to collect food and aid packages in Arab communities. This week, we started in the north, in Sakhnin, Deir al-Asad, and Nazareth. Next week, we will be in the Triangle area, in Baqa, Tira, and Umm al-Fahm, and the week after that, we will move to the south, in Rahat and Hura, to fill up trucks of aid on their way to Gaza.
The massive mobilization of people who just want to help and create hope in these difficult days is very moving! The number of trucks we managed to fill in each community was four times what we expected. People are donating in huge quantities. People want to help.
To continue and add more communities for aid collection, we need your help. Donate now to help cover the very high expenses for logistics, truck and driver rentals, warehouse rentals, and setting up a team to operate the campaign across the country. Every donation will help us sustain the campaign for as long as possible and will help more and more food and aid reach Gaza.
