Smiles for Israel is a grassroots initiative with a mission to bring happiness and comfort to soldiers, their families and evacuees impacted by hardship due to the ongoing conflict in Israel.
We create events and smiles for those in need and serve as a non-profit event company, creating volunteer opportunities for individuals, families and organizations both in Israel and abroad. We also partner with local businesses, including caterers, party planners, candy stores, and home cooks, who are facing financial hardship and use their services to create smiles for the soldiers, kids, families and anyone who needs a smile.
Since October 7, we have:
- Distributed over 50,000 candy bags for children
- Given 5,000+ candy platters to families for shabbat or holidays
- Delivered 2000 challot and cakes for families for shabbat
- Fed 55,000+ soldiers across Israel
- 1,000 army wives have received personalized activities such as craft kits, bouncers, movie nights, games and more
- Over 100 communities have received a fun activity event for their community such as carnivals, drumming, magic show, pizza, flower making, paint party etc...
- 2500+ soldiers have received critical equipment
We are raising $100,000 to:
- BBQ for 20 bases ($25,000)
- Run carnivals for 20 communities of evacuees ($25,000)
- Provide needed security items for community security teams ($25,000)
- Provide dinnerand support for families of soldiers ($25,000)
