The Charter Group Birdcams (nonprofit) want to grow, both by maintaining both current LIVE CAMS and to add additional CAMS! Our goal is to promote wildlife conservation involving the public with a bird’s-eye view into the fascinating lives of birds. Please donate in order that we can continue to grow and protect birds.

We thank you all for your support and all donations, big or small, are needed and appreciated. All donations will go directly to maintaining existing CAMs (replace cameras, cables, solar panels, batteries) and also to add new Live CAMs in Israel and the USA.

"Charter Group Birdcams" is a nonprofit grassroots research- educational- cultural- and environmental project led by Dr. Motti Charter from the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences of the University of Haifa and the Shamir Institute for Research that connects millions of viewers from around the world to the mysterious, diverse and fascinating life of wildlife in Israel and especially of birds of prey.

The Charter Group Birdcams has placed cameras that broadcast 24/7 from inside the nests of birds, feeding stations, migratory bird stopover sites, and more. Instead of keeping their research findings to themselves, the researchers decided to broadcast their study species live on their YouTube channel - a channel that has become the largest wildlife streaming channel in Israel that receives millions of views a month from all over the world.

A community of volunteers from different continents participate in the research by monitoring the animals’ behavior and by documenting and alerting the researchers of extraordinary events. As a result of the volunteer’s participation, the researchers have been able to increase conservation efforts and identify unknown behaviors in birds.

You are invited to come in and watch the live broadcasts where you find that, just like in Netflix, there are fights, arguments, loves, life, death, friendships, and many more surprises that nature provides: https://www.youtube.com/@CharterGroupBirdcams
