Hi Everyone:)This year (in just a few weeks!!) I hope to join hundreds of other women, of various ages and a wide variety of backrounds, travelling from across the world and swim across the kineret in northen israel.  Not only am I challenging myself to a goal I never dreamed of doing but simultaneously I am raising funds for a great organization. Swim4Sadna is an annual women’s swimathon fundraising event on behalf of "Sadnat Shiluv" (Mainstreaming Workshop) in the Gevaot community of Gush Etzion. It is a safe and protected environment for individuals with various special needs. There is a farm, a woodshop, an animal therapy center, a multidisciplinary arts center, a kitchen to teach restaurant skills and make cheeses and food for the community and a cafe that the residents operate.  There is a social life, activities, responsibilities and a sense of purpose for all, no matter the ability or disability.  The residents grow up in this community are encouraged and helped to strive and develop to the best of their ability and reach goals never thought capable of. Every year the funds raised by the swim go towards something else that will expand the horizons and opportunities for the residents. This years swim will enable the building of a sports center.  It is my hope that your donation will help make this happen and will allow both myself and the Sadnat Shiluv to successfully accomplish ever higher goals.Thank You,

יSadnat Shiluv was established in order to promote the welfare of people with special needs and to teach them the skills needed to function in the general community. The Sadna began as a response to the children who were not able to find their place in the existing special-education arrangements. We seek to support them through all phases of their lives. To that end, we have an integrated kindergarten, a special education school and communal living. These are centered in Gvaot, which serves as a therapeutic and supportive community.
The annual Swim4 Sadna helps us raise money for our activities. This year we will be raising money for Our New sports Center.
