I have asthma. I do not run. I can not run by any means, but this year I am will be walking the 10 KM around the city of Jerusalem as a part of the Jerusalem Marathon. My goal is to raise $750 for Team StandWithUs. StandWithUs came into my life unexpectedly when I was arrested on my university campus for standing up for Israel. A StandWithUs campus coordinator was the first person from an Israel organization to reach out to me and offer their assistance. That phone call ultimately changed my life as I was invited to SWU conferences, worked with their campus department, and was offered a job in the SWU Social Media Department. Currently, working full time in social media allows me to reach millions of people a day and help educate them on all that Israel is and has to offer. Everyday, a new person sends us a message of support saying we have changed their perspectives or reminding us of how important our work is. Everyday, online, I am making a difference, and it all started with a phone call of support from a SWU campus coordinator saying "we are here for you." Please support me (and my asthmatic lungs) in my 10KM walk by supporting StandWithUs so our organization can continue to educate millions and millions of people each day online, on campus, and around the globe. ____ More about StandWithUs: Through print materials, speakers, programs, conferences, missions to Israel, campaigns, social media and internet resources, StandWithUs ensures that the story of Israel’s achievements and ongoing challenges is told on campuses and in communities globally. Team StandWithUs is celebrating 50 years of a reunited Jerusalem by racing through the historic streets of our ancient capital!
