We are Shira Cohen and Eden Shmuel, survivors of a life-altering event known as the Nova party. Like many others, we attended this event with the intention of dancing, socializing, and enjoying ourselves. Tragically, this experience turned into a profound loss for us, as we lost two dear friends during the event, Livnat Levi and Hadar Hoshan Hid. This incident has deeply affected us and has been a significant turning point in our lives.
Shira Cohen, 28 from Ramat Gan, is the CEO of a global tourism company. She is a firm believer in fostering resilience through entrepreneurship.
Eden Shmuel, 32 from Rishon Lezion, is an attorney and the owner of two e-commerce businesses. For Eden, entrepreneurship is not just a career but a way of life and a means for growth.
Both Shira and Eden are united in their belief that their survival of the Nova event was for a purpose - to continue shining and doing good in the world.
The "Association Begins to Live Again" established by Shira Cohen and Eden Shmuel, focuses on the rehabilitation of the Nova party victims by engaging in active, entrepreneurial actions. Shira and Eden, driven by their belief in healing through action, movement, and stepping out of one's comfort zone, emphasize the importance of a supportive, inclusive, and professional environment. In the wake of the Nova incident, there's an urgent need for a supportive community framework.
A significant number of the victims are still suffering from mental trauma. The association recognizes the need to assist these individuals, many of whom are not yet ready to seek help on their own or put in the effort required for recovery. The association's initiatives are designed to reach out to these individuals, offering them the necessary support and guidance to help them heal and rebuild their lives.
Envision a world where every survivor becomes a beacon of hope and resilience.
we don't just see individuals who have faced unimaginable challenges; we see future entrepreneurs, dreamers, and leaders. Our mission is to empower these survivors through entrepreneurship, providing personal lectures worldwide, personal and professional development, igniting their potential to rebuild lives filled with purpose, achievement, and joy.
By supporting us, you're not just donating to a cause; you're investing in the restoration of dreams and the crafting of a new, normal life path for each survivor. Together, we can transform the aftermath of tragedy into a journey of triumph and fulfillment.
A key figure in their mission is Eden's brother, Amit, who is an IDF disabled veteran. Amit plays a significant role in both Israel and internationally, delivering lectures about the psychological state during or post-trauma, particularly focusing on the lack of desire or motivation to seek help. He shares his personal experiences about how IDF disabled veterans' associations and communities reached out to him, offering help even when he was reluctant to accept it. This intervention was crucial in preventing his psychological deterioration.
