For the fourth year in a row, I have chosen to run with Team Camp Koby. The Koby Mandell Foundation runs therapeutic healing programs, retreats, and camps for those who have lost a mother, father, sister, brother, or child to terrorism. All of the programs are provided free of charge, and participants draw strength from each other and their shared experiences, creating long-lasting bonds of friendship and a community of survivors. Their innovative methods for dealing with grief are based on the personal experiences of Rabbi Seth and Sherri Mandell, who established the Foundation in 2001 after their 13-year-old son Koby was murdered by terrorists while hiking near their home in Israel. Their first-hand knowledge of loss and bereavement engenders a high level of trust from the affected families. who would not otherwise seek help. There is nothing like running in Jerusalem, with thousands of people- Jewish, Christain, Arab- American, French, Israeli (and so many more!) connected and inspired by our love of Jerusalem. Join me in supporting this important cause!

Run with Team Camp Koby and people from all over the world in the Jerusalem Marathon in honor of those who were struck by the tragedy of terror and other traumas, and to help their families to cope with their pain and sorrow, and to heal.

Help raise funds to bring more bereaved children to Camp Koby!

Your support helps us provide programs that use a unique combination of fun, formal and informal therapy, and community building to foster an environment of emotional support. Participants learn to draw strength from each other and create long-lasting bonds of friendship and a community of survivors. Seth and Sherri Mandell established the Foundation in 2001, shortly after their oldest son Koby, of blessed memory, was murdered by terrorists near their home in Israel.

Your gift helps us bring blessing to the world in Koby’s name, and provides us with the necessary resources to help other survivors cope with their pain, heal from their grief, and use the power within tragedy to grow beyond previous limitations.
