Hi, my name is Michal and I am 42 years old. For years I have been working with children - I started as a kindergarten teacher in a private daycare center where I worked for several years, due to my great love for children and the desire to take care of them. From there, I continued to work with at-risk girls and young women as a full-time parental role, which exposed me to girls who are not in anyone\\'s heart, except those who work with them in the various frameworks.

I promised myself that I would be one of those people who would put them in their hearts with all that entails – I was there with them (and still am) through big and small moments, in difficulties and joys, I cared for them, I took care of them, I listened to them. I was a sister , a friend, an educational and authoritative figure when required, and above all – a mother. I have given and I still give everything I can, because I know that the lack of a positive and healthy parental figure is unbearable for a child, and the presence of one is life-changing. I put my life aside with great love. Less hang-outs, less time in the lap of my family, less time for romantic relationships. I was fully committed into this very important effort to provide a healthy and worthy life for these girls.

After years of putting myself aside to be completely available to the girls I worked with, at the age of 39 I realized that I wanted to be a mother myself, for a child of my own this time. I started an IVF process, and on the fourth attempt it finally happened. 

I remember that phone call as if it had happened yesterday – my phone rang and from the other side the voice of Rachel – an I.V.F. nurse was heard: "Michal, the answer is yes, you are pregnant." Tears choked my throat. The first call was to my mom, and one sentence managed to get out of my mouth despite the overwhelming excitement: "Mom, it happened, I\\'m pregnant." Throughout the month after the announcement, I felt on top of the world – the dream of being a mother felt closer than ever.

Unfortunately, the joy ended faster than I could have imagined, and my world turned upside down again in one sentence- 

“We are sorry to tell you but the pregnancy is not viable”   

I had a miscarriage, but I didn\\'t have time to recover mentally and I already received another news that threatened to devastate me. After noticing something strange, I consulted with my doctor, just to be sure." Michal, don\\'t worry, it\\'s probably nothing, there\\'s a chance it\\'s due to the pregnancy, but let\\'s send you for a mammogram, just in case." An examination that in retrospective saved my life, because three tumors were discovered in my chest.

9 months ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer, since then I went through a mastectomy and reconstruction performed in several surgeries. Luckily, the only treatment I will need beyond that is prophylaxis, a treatment that will keep me safe, but there is one catch - I will not be able to get pregnant.

Despite the difficulties I\\'ve been through along the way, I\\'m not willing to give up on the dream of becoming a mother, and here comes your part – I decided to turn to a surrogacy process, an expensive and long, cross-continent procedure that I can\\'t do without your help, and every donation matters!
