Swim4Sadna2019 Chava Dumas Shalom dear family and friends! I am taking the plunge again, into the Kinneret, to help raise funds to support the incredible work of Sadnat Shiluv! Last year, my first time participating, was incredibly inspiring, especially meeting the children and young adults themselves, hearing them speak about their lives, and swim with some of them too. With the Sadna's unique approach, they are able to give people challenged with disabilities the tools and skills to be part of society. Joining the Swim4Sadna fundraiser means I’m making a commitment to raise 2000 NIS (about $600) to help Sadnat Shiluv in their devoted dedication to truly nurture the seeds of potential within each individual challenged with disabilities, from an integrated kindergarten, a special education school, vocational training, employment in a kitchen, bakery, animal center, coffee shop, and communal living in a supportive, therapeutic community. With the help of Swim4Sadna, the Sadna is able to build many projects, such as an art studio, animal center, sports center and more. This year, they hope to continue and develop the Yuvalim project- a new inclusive school in the Sadna where children with special needs learn together with “regular” kids. I am so grateful to be alive! I can’t express my profound gratitude to Hashem enough for this precious gift!! This is just a small effort to try and give back. If I'm already swimming, swim for others! For the past ten years, hundreds of women from all over gather to Swim the Kinneret and challenge themselves just to help the special kids of Sadnat Shiluv. In Sadnat Shiluv we do not measure the person according to his needs but by his capability of giving. We nurture the seed in each person in creative ways. 

The Sadna operates a school for special needs, an employment center with various workplaces such as a kitchen, bakery, goat pen, animal center, coffee shop and more. Besides, there are apartments for people with special needs that are integrated into the community.
With the help of Swim4Sadna, the sadna is able to build many projects, such as an art studio, animal center, sports center and more. This year, with your help Sadnat Shiluv will be able to continue and develop the Yuvalim project- a new inclusive school in the Sadna where kids with special needs learn together with Regular kids.
