I am excited (and nervous) to run my first 10K in support of the families and couples struggling with fertility challenges.

About the Campaign

Hi everyone, 


I am proud, excited and a bit nervous to announce that on March 13, 2015, I will be (mostly) running in my first 10K race ever, as part of the annual Jerusalem Marathon. I am honored to be running as part of the Merkaz Panim team.

As many of you know, I have never been much of an athlete, but with the backdrop of Jerusalem as my playground, I have fallen in love with running. While finding the time and energy to train for the run has proven to be no small challenge, I am especially motivated by the prospect of raising money and awareness for this worthy cause.

Merkaz Panim provides a comprehensive approach to nurture, sustain and empower couples facing a wide-range of fertility challenges, such as difficulties in conceiving and pregnancy, surrogacy, genetic issues, miscarriage and fetal loss. Founded in February 2011, Merkaz Panim services a silent population suffering under the strain of invasive procedures and emotional hardships.
 

These struggles are universal. In the Jewish community, however,  where family life is the core of Jewish life and especially in Israel, where children are so much the center of Israeli life, fertility challenges are especially devastating.

So many people in my life have faced fertility challenges of some form or another, oftentimes suffering under a veil of painful loneliness, and in my connection to Merkaz Panim, I have found a way to support these loved ones without unnecessarily inserting myself into their private lives.

But I can't do this alone, and I need your help!
