Dear Friends.,

We ask you to open your hearts and help a bereaved family in financial distress.

The father worked as a security guard until he was murdered during the second intifada. He identified a suicide bomber as soon as he entered a crowded supermarket, he pushed him from the entrance but unfortunately it activated the explosive belt and it blew up.

The security guard was killed. He paid with his life rescuing many people that day.

 

Several years prior to the father being killed his wife was involved in an accident that left her disabled. After the tragic death of his father and the disability of his mother their younger son was left supporting his mother but had to stop working two years ago for about a year and a half. During this period of time a loan he took before the tragedy was not paid and financing charges quickly added up. To this unfortunate bank debt was added a mobile phone debt & together his debt swelled to a total of 71,000 Shekels.

 

This week, Rabbi Aryeh Weingarten from Karmey Hesed an association helping those in need of debt relief was able to reach an agreement with the bank, which lowered its portion of the debt owed to 15,000 Shekels. The Bank agreed to lower the amount owed on condition that a promise would be made to repay ALL the money owed by -31.08.2016 We have to help him raise a total of NIS 41,000 by the end of this month enabling him to start a new chapter in his life without the burden that continues to plague him.
