I love pizza, it’s my favorite food and makes me happy!
It’s the one food I find that people of all backgrounds love. No matter what is going on in the world or how bad my day is, if there’s pizza for dinner, I’m happy.
In prepping for my Bar Mitzvah, which is a customary rite of passage of my religion, I’ve come to have a better understanding of the sacrifices people make for others.
I have a great respect for people who put their lives on the line for what they believe in and especially for those who volunteer to help keep the Jewish people safe.
For my Bar Mitzvah project, I am raising money for the Lone Soldier Center in Memory of Michael Levin because they support, house and feed IDF soldiers. Lone Soldiers are people who volunteer to leave their families and in the case of Michael, their countries to go serve in the IDF. They are in a foreign country, often without family or friends nearby.
The Lone Soldiers are brave and inspiring individuals and I want to do a little something to say thank you and serve them a slice of happiness.
Pizza, is my way of saying thank you.
With the money we raise together, they will serve the Lone Soldiers currently serving in the IDF pizza at their base during a special Friday night dinner!
